HRM 5.x Technical Requirements
Hardware
Below are our recommendations for a typically HRManager deployment based on employee count - actual configuration may vary based on other factors like storage, network performance and desired performance - see notes below.
The recommendations above are based on the assumption, that the deployed server(s)’ resources are dedicated to hosting the HR Manager application only. Where the deployed server(s) are shared with multiple applications, then the resource-requirements of the additional applications will need to be factored in and any hardware/software conflicts resolved.

Server administrators can use this guide in conjunction with observations during any evaluation period to best determine their server hardware requirements. Because server load is difficult to predict, live testing is the best way to determine what the hardware requirements of an HR Manager instance will be in production.

The Microsoft Windows user account used for installation will require administrator access.

The Microsoft Windows user account used for installing the HRM database will require administrator access to the underlying Microsoft Window OS and Microsoft SQL Server.
Additional Considerations
Secure Access
It is recommended that the access to the application is given to users by adhering to relevant information security policies and best practices. For providing access to external users over the internet additional e security layers like VPN, 2FA, web-application firewall, valid encryptions certificate is recommended to secure the connection.
For SSL/TLS encryption of data in transit, a valid SSL certificate should be applied to the web application and ensure that SSL encrypted access is enforced. Note a standard SSL/TLS certificate authenticates a website's identity and enables an encrypted connection and assists with mitigating cyber-threats. Note: Procurement, installation, configuration and maintenance of the certificate is outside the scope of the standard Blue Bison’s support services.
Backup\Recovery
The web-server files and related database need to be incorporated into the existing backup\disaster recovery\availability policies as applicable to the client’s IT systems environment by the client’s IT team.
SMTP Server
A SMTP Server is required to make use of the email features of the application. Typical SMTP configuration settings needed:
Email from address
SMTP Server
SMTP Port
Secure connection using TLS (Recommended)
SMTP Username
SMTP Password
Files necessary for Installation and Upgrade
Installation files will be available prior to installation via the support portal. Please place these files onto the application server.
